The Wiltshire Bee and Honey show is a day-long festival of all things associated with bees taking place on Saturday, 5th October at the Corn Exchange, The Market Place, Devizes SN10 1HS.
Visitors can learn how to start your own hive on a budget and about how bees make their honey and how they communicate with each other. Entry is free
Amongst those giving free lectures is local bee keeper, Richard Rickets, training officer for Melksham and District Beekeeper’s Association and deputy editor of one of the UK’s most popular bee magazines, Bee Craft. He will be explaining how to get into bee keeping, the trials, tribulations and excitement of harvesting your own honey and answering questions on everything from the cost of setting up your own hive to coping with bee stings.
