LOCAL environmental campaign group, Melksham Climate Action Network, is planning to host an environment awareness event next year.
Plans are in the early stages, but the local group, who are also known as Melksham CAN, have secured the backing of Melksham Town Council, who have agreed to provide the Assembly Hall free of charge.
A date is yet to be confirmed, but it is hoped to time the event to coincide with World Environment Day, which takes place next year on Friday 5th June.
World Environment Day is an awareness day, run by the United Nations. The day aims to raise awareness of the environment and specific environmental issues.
