SEMINGTON resident, John Gibbs, raised £706 for Wiltshire Air Ambulance for his 80th birthday.
Money was raised by John asking friends and relatives to make a donation to his chosen charity instead of buying him a birthday present.
John, with his wife Sue, presented a cheque to the local charity last month.
John said, “Thank you to everyone that gave so generously to this much-needed life-saving service.”
