Rainbow Day Centre began its AGM this month with a surprise gift for its chairman, Philip Toop.
Philip has been a volunteer, treasurer and now chairman at Rainbow for the last 25 years. He began volunteering at the centre when his mother was a member in 1995 and soon became one of the centre’s biggest assets, alongside all the other amazing volunteer staff.
The Rainbow Centre celebrated Philip’s massive contribution with tea and cake and a commemorative ‘25 Years’ mug for Philip, presented by town councillor and committee member Adrienne Westbrook.
Rainbow Day Centre is a registered charity meeting on Mondays and Fridays at The Riverside Club. It provides an opportunity for its members to enjoy friendship, games, outings and a freshly cooked lunch. Call 07799 511931 or see Melksham Town Council website for further information.
