The Kennet & Avon Woodturning Club has resumed normal meetings. The club has returned to its normal monthly meeting programme following a sixteen month break due to Covid.
“The club has remained strong by meeting and receiving turning demonstrations via Zoom during the periods of lockdown,” said Phillip Lobb, the club’s press officer. “Many of the members travelled to Trowbridge last week from all over West Wiltshire and North and East Somerset to participate in their first face to face meeting; all agreed that it was good to be able to share their passion of wood turning with each other once again. Some members brought along work which they had produced over the past year and a half during lockdown.
“Anyone that wish to take up wood turning as well as experienced turners who enjoy sharing their experiences, ideas and skills are always welcome to what is a friendly and helpful atmosphere. There are no age or gender barriers, our current membership ranges in age from teenagers to those that are long retired.”
The club meets at St John Church Hall, Upper Studley, Trowbridge on the second Thursday of each month starting at 7:15pm. Please contact Phil on 01225 763540 or John on 01225 752373 if you should have any questions.
