A CHARITY auction hosted by Wessex Model Club raised £2,200 for charity this month.
The club reports, ”Our first post-Covid Wessex Model Club charity auction for Parkinson’s UK took place on Wednesday February 2nd, at the Milk Churn pub outside Melksham.
“Over 30 collectors joined us to bid on the 200 lots and together we raised a total of £2,200. This brings the club’s fundraising to over £83,000! The annual auction is one of the highlights of the year.
“The event was in memory of regular club member and collector, Tony Garrett, who sadly succumbed to Parkinson’s disease just before lockdown.
“Our next chosen charity is ‘Wiltshire Sight’ another well-deserved local charity.”
