MELKSHAM Gardeners’ Society held its first meeting of 2022 last month.
“We had a full hall of members attending on what turned out to be a very, very cold evening!” reports the society.
“The lovely Katherine Crouch revisited us and gave a very full and informative talk and slide show on plants that needed to be better known. This included alternatives to plants that are used widely but that were perhaps better options; either by scent, colour, growing habits or just to tempt us into growing.
“Our next meeting will be held in on the final Tuesday of February (22nd); details to follow soon.
“Can we belatedly congratulate Maria Adams who won the winning wreath and Jane Kolczak, who won the table décor at our Christmas meeting and thank David Gray and Barbara Cropp for judging.”
