Synopsis:
Jimmy’s Hall (12A): Jimmy’s Hall is a typical mixture of human drama and heated political discourse with just a hint of the John Wayne classic The Quiet Man thrown in for good measure. Jimmy’s Hall is based on a play by Donal O’Kelly and adapted for the screen by Loach’s regular collaborator Paul Laverty. There is still some of the air of the theatre about it and when you add in the amount of music and dance involved it might have the makings of a great, heartbreaking stage musical.
Postman Pat (U): The film finds Pat, everyone’s favourite postman, center stage as a contestant in a national TV talent show competition. Will success and fame tear him away from his hometown of Greendale and the friends he loves? Can Pat return to town in time to foil a sinister plot to replace him with legions of Patbot 3000 robots destined to take over the world? Only Postman Pat can save the day.
Chef (15): Chef Carl Casper (Jon Favreau) suddenly quits his job at a prominent Los Angeles restaurant after refusing to compromise his creative integrity for its controlling owner (Dustin Hoffman), he is left to figure out what’s next. Finding himself in Miami, he teams up with his ex-wife (Sofia Vergara), his friend (John Leguizamo) and his son to launch a food truck.
