A former pub in Melksham has been put back on the market for the third time.
The Unicorn Pub on Bath Road is up for sale for offers in the region of £125,000. It was previously listed last year for £222,000 after failing to sell at auction in 2024.
The Grade II listed building, which previously housed the Unicorn Restaurant, has remained vacant since the business relocated in 2017.
The empty building made headlines in 2023 when police discovered a cannabis factory inside following reports of a suspected burglary. Officers found more than 200 cannabis plants growing inside.
It is now being marketed by Four County Inns as suitable for pub restoration or potential mixed-use development, including residential, cafe or other commercial uses.
In the listing description, the agent says, “Half of the former Unicorn Bar and Restaurant offered as a doer-upper for a small sociable business. The building retains part of the classical Georgian frontage.”
