1st Bowerhill Scout Group has presented a cheque to Wiltshire Air Ambulance following their very successful bag packing day at Sainsburys in Melksham in December.
Sue Cook, 1st Bowerhill Cub pack leader said, “The store was right behind the children with the packing, encouraging them throughout the day, and the result of this was the children raising a fantastic £881.30
“We decided that the money raised from the day would be split 50/50 between group funds and Wiltshire Air Ambulance.
“On Thursday 15th January the Cub pack from Bowerhill attended the Devizes Police Headquarters and was able to go in and see the brand new air ambulance. They presented Wiltshire Air Ambulance with a cheque for £440.65
“The children had lots of questions for the air ambulance team, and thoroughly enjoyed seeing this fabulous new helicopter. As it was the brand new helicopter numbers were restricted, but the Bowerhill Beaver colony will also be visiting the air ambulance soon.”
