URBAN SKIN CLINIC opens its doors this month in the Market Place in Melksham. It offers a unique approach to skin treatments. 

Sue Jaffray has over 40 years’ experience in the industry. Based on her extensive experience, both in the UK and in Australia, she has developed a fresh new approach to skin treatments. 

“Women are rightfully sceptical about the promises they hear about skin,” says Sue. “Over the years I have seen great changes and tried much of it, at least once. This has given me a unique insight into what works and what doesn’t.

“Based on these insights I have developed a special approach to caring for our skin. Our skin is working constantly to achieve and maintain homeostasis. The secret to healthy and attractive looking skin is to support this process. My husband Paul is a formulator. Together we have developed a range of products that meets every one of my requirements. We really have something different here.

“Our main focus is skin. For difficult skin conditions and quick, visible results we offer the Botani Herbal Peel. It is an outstanding treatment for prematurely aged skin, lines and wrinkles, impure skin and pigmentation. These corrective peels are complemented by our skin care that supports those results in the long term. Ancillary services offered are deep tissue massage, electrolysis, reflexology, waxing, tinting, semi-permanent make-up and body toning. 

“I look at the whole person to determine what he/she needs. I like the old saying, ‘As above, so below; as within, so without’, “says Sue. “I really develop a relationship and understanding with my clients. This helps me deliver serious results. My facial treatments are very involved. I take time, I explain what I see, the causes and the potential solutions. I’m very confident in what I do. My facials are an experience.”

Talking about Urban Skin Clinic’s philosophy on how skin should be treated, Sue says: “I believe in rebuilding the skin not stripping it down – working with the skin, not forcing it to do something that goes against its natural functions.
