A SPECIAL photo exhibition will take visitors on a tour of the town’s history and connections with the Royal Family.
The exhibition has been organised by members of Melksham Remembers and the Melksham and District Historical Association, and it will be held at the Town Hall across the four-day bank holiday weekend, to coincide with the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations.
It will feature photos of members of the Royal Family visiting Melksham over the years, the town celebrating Royal events, plus photos of local residents meeting the Royal Family, including local pro-skateboarder James Threlfall, who was awarded an MBE by the Queen in 2019.
The exhibition also features images of a member of the Royal Family arriving in Melksham by helicopter, but to find out who, you’ll need to visit!
“Thanks to those who have forward their pictures,” said Paul Carter from Melksham Remembers. “I hope there will be something at the exhibition that will bring back some memories for some; and inform those unaware of our Royal connections!”
There’s still time to share your Royal photos. Get in touch with Paul by email: pjcarter731@gmail.com
