MELKSHAM’S club for flower arrangers and those who appreciate flowers, welcomes new members to join.
The club explains, “We were formed in June 1958 as Melksham & District Flower Arrangement Society (MDFAS) and are also known by the more informal name of Melksham Flower Club. We are affiliated to the National Association of Flower Arrangement Societies (NAFAS) and Melksham is one of the oldest clubs in the South West Area.
“We are a lively, friendly club offering high quality demonstrators at most meetings with day schools and practice classes to learn and improve our skills.
“However, a hands-on approach is not necessary; many of our members never touch a flower, they just enjoy watching the demonstrations and having a relaxing afternoon out with friends.
“Social events, outings and holidays are arranged for members and friends and we also fund-raise for charity (one of our constitutional aims.)
“We meet on the third Tuesday of every month at Spencer Sport & Social Club, Beanacre Road, Melksham, SN12 8AG; optional practice classes commence at 11am, the main demonstration at 2pm.”
