The Aloeric swimming team recently went to the Melksham Blue Pool to compete in a Melksham Schools’ Swimming Gala, and pupils reported as follows.
“We competed against many different schools from Melksham, such as: Seend, Shaw, Forest and Sandridge, Bowerhill, The Manor and St Mary’s.
11 children from Aloeric competed, they were: Abraham Haddjeri, Jamie Ellis (Y6), Zach Flippance, Sarah Clark, Poppy Gutcher-Dunn, Mollie Pullinger, Lucy Schires, Megan Coleman, Aidan Dorrian, Luke Preston and Ellis Viveash.
“Midway through the Gala the scores were announced, we had 65 points and close behind were St Mary’s with 54 points, generally throughout the whole gala it was very close between us and St Mary’s. In the end the Aloeric swimming team became the Melksham champions with 121 points!
“Many thanks to all of the adults that helped us with the events, and a GREAT BIG THANKS to Mrs Dodge.”
