THE Christmas tea party and concert held at the Riverside Club this month has been hailed as amazing!
The event was organised by Celebrating Age Wiltshire and Wiltshire Music Centre, with music from opera singer Claudia Wood.
“People of Melksham were so lucky to have this special concert come to our town,” said Sue Mortimer who attended the event. “Soprano Claudia Wood was a thrill to listen to, such a talented opera singer. I doubt Melksham has ever seen the like before.
“Claudia was accompanied by local Bradford-on- Avon musician Tim, who I have met before, as he has covered for Will Blake PSG Choir in the past.
“Warm heartfelt thanks go to Celebrating Age Wiltshire and Wiltshire Music Centre who put on this free concert for our town. It’s just ideal for people who don’t want to travel out of town or go out in the evening.
“Thank you too for the audience who turned out to support the event despite the bad weather, I could tell by the rapturous applause that everyone had a great afternoon.”
