A NEW series of art workshops are starting next month with Celebrating Age Wiltshire at the Melksham Community Campus and the theme is shorelines.
Participants will be encouraged to take inspiration from the sea and the natural treasures found on the shoreline such as seaweed, limpets, pebbles and more. The workshops will take place every Thursday from 14th Sept. to 16th Nov. at 12.30pm to 2pm.
The creative art workshops will be led by Rachel Heard and Laura Bridges who will guide participants through creating their own shorelines using a variety of art techniques and materials with a variety of paper, drawing, paint and print, making papier mâché, textile thread bowls and using airdry clay.
The workshops are free but places are limited. To book, see a member of the library team at Melksham Community Campus or ring the library on 01225 702039.
