The club’s theme for the summer season was “something moving” and members were invited to show their images at the meeting on Monday, 27th August.
Alan Lee reports, “The range of images displayed included some sheep, a white stork, a spitfire and hurricane in flight, cars and busses speeding through Atworth, a vintage car, and the Wiltshire Air Ambulance landing in a field between Purlpit and Shaw.
“In the second half of the meeting, a number of members displayed some printed images and Derek Mason gave a positive and personal critique to identify ways of making the images even better.
“Our next meeting will be on 24th September, when Jim Marsden will be presenting a series of prints showing “coloured houses and painted chalets”. After the break there will be a further opportunity for members who missed out previously to show digital images of “street photography” and/or “something moving.”
“The club meets in Atworth Village Hall at 7.30pm on the last Monday of each month. Whatever your skill level, wherever you live, and whether you want to share your photographic experiences or would like to enhance your skills, why not come and join us? There is no commitment, and the monthly fee of £2 includes refreshments.”
