A talk entitled “My Photographic Journey” saw Kate Aston, who is taking a degree in photography with the Institute of Contemporary Arts (ICA) sharing some of her experiences with Atworth Camera Club.
This covered her accidental introduction to photography while carrying out voluntary work on a farm, where she was producing blogs of the farm’s activities.
Alan Lee from the club reports, “Kate’s course is focussed on the artistic side of photography, rather than the more usual technical approach, and is based on finding interesting subjects in everyday traditional scenes, such as within a single square mile. The subjects that Kate has studied and the supporting images she has produced are truly amazing in both their creativity and variety.
“The club’s theme for the coming season will be “movement” and members will be able to share their results at a later meeting.”
“The club meets in the Atworth Village Hall at 7.30pm on the last Monday of each month and the monthly fee of £2 includes refreshments.”
