A FORMER world champion sidecar passenger from Atworth will be reunited with his racing partner from the 70s at an event this weekend in Lincolnshire.
Paul Korkus says, “The weekend of the 23rd-24th of June will see the sidecar revival meeting held at Cadwell Park, which has seven former World Champions who have won 27 World Championships between them.
“Atworth’s former World Champion, Kenny Williams, will be reunited with his former driver, Rolf Biland for this event. Rolf Biland won his first of seven World championships back in 1978, with passenger Kenny Williams in their Beo Outfit, which had the engine mounted between the rear wheels and rear wheel drive. They also competed at the Isle of Man T T for the first time and finished in second place during 1978.
“Kenny has also partnered World Championship drivers, George O’ Dell, Egbert Streuer, and Rolf Steinhausen, along with various others.”
