TO CELEBRATE the International Day of Older People, a celebratory event is being held at Bowerhill Village Hall, on Saturday 1st October from 10.30am- 1.30pm with special guests North Swindon Big Band and the Melksham Ukulele Social Club.
The event is being organised by Celebrating Age Wiltshire in association with Age Friendly Melksham.
The North Swindon Big Band play a wide range of music from the Swing and Dance era of the 1930s through to the present day. Their repertoire includes Glenn Miller, Duke Ellington, Count Basie, Frank Sinatra, Sammy Nestico and more, taking you back to the golden era of the big band sounds.
Melksham Ukulele Social Club are a group of ukulele enthusiasts, who play songs of all eras on ukuleles of all sizes!
Tea and coffee will be available at the event from 10.30am, with the North Swindon Big Band playing from 11am – 12 noon and the Melksham Ukulele Social Club from 12.45 pm – 1.30pm
