Broughton Gifford Bowls Club held its open day on Saturday 9th May in conjunction with Macmillan Cancer Support.
“It was a successful day and a cheque for £260 was handed over to MacMillan,” said club secretary Janet Richards.
“The committee would like to thank all those who attended, both members and the general public who came along to participate.
“Our club is still looking for new members and anyone interested can contact the me on 01225 708117 or via email janet.a.richards@blueyonder.co.uk.
“We are a small friendly club set in a village and have 18 ladies and 34 to date. We have a four rink green that can only be played one way and are situated at the back of the Bell Public House in Broughton Gifford.”
