Thirty-two members of Broughton Gifford Bowls Club and invited friends from local clubs took part in the club’s annual men’s Captain’s Day on a perfect summer’s day on 24th August, which was hosted by Club Captain Vince Davis.
With the afternoon’s play complete, players and non-playing guests sat down to a sumptuous meal kindly provided by the club’s lady members.
Vince said. “It was an afternoon of great fun and it was pleasing to see everybody having a good time. The meal was delicious, second to none actually, and was much enjoyed by all. I’d like to express thanks and gratitude to the ladies for their afternoon’s endeavours and to everybody involved in making the day a complete success.”
