The recent Autumn Party Night held by Melksham Cancer Research was hailed a huge success seeing £2,628.00 raised, along with a kind donation from guest Jim Pirrie to bring the total amount to £3,000.
Marie Bucknell-Smith, chair of the group said, “This is a phenomenal amount of money, and we would like to thank everyone that came along to support us. We had been selling our raffle tickets since June and many people and businesses had also been selling them on our behalf.
“We would like to thank Shaw Hotel for hosting the event. Cover Girl Band for giving their time freely. Cheryl Shepherd our Tarot reader on the night. Our sponsors Novacast, Pococks Poultry, Carson’s Tyres, Kavanaghs, Marks & Spencer Devizes, Waitrose, Sainsbury’s and Asda.”
