THIS year’s Melksham Carnival Family Fun Day has been cancelled.
The event normally takes place on the same day as the carnival procession in the King George V playing field.
On behalf of the Melksham Carnival committee, Beth Dark said, “Due to family commitments of our core committee and the creation of the splash pad we have decided to concentrate our efforts on the procession this year, and cancel our annual Family Fun Day.”
The popular Melksham’s Bonniest Baby competition, which is normally hosted at the fun day, will be held as a separate event during the school summer holidays.
This year’s carnival procession is taking place one month earlier than normal, on Saturday 29th June.
Beth said, “We are still on schedule to bring you a fantastic procession and urge you to get your entries ready for the big day. We are also very excited to have the brilliant Melksham Makers’ Market in the Market Place on carnival day.”
The entry form for the procession can be downloaded at www.melksham carnival.co.uk. For more details message the committee at: info@melksham carnival.co.uk
