A PREGNANT Seend mother had an unexpected surprise last month, when she gave birth in a hospital car park.
About the birth of her fourth child Dennis, born 25th January, weighing7 lb 9oz, Jordan Corbett said, “Three weeks ago I went to hospital to have my baby in Bath RUH, I rang up and they said it wasn’t time to go in. So I waited 44 minutes and then I rang again – they said I could come and get checked if I felt I really needed to.
“Well, when I got to the car park my waters broke in the car. I walked half way across the car park and sent my birthing partner off to find someone because I couldn’t walk any further and while he was gone I gave birth into my leggings by myself.
“I caught him in my leggings and walked to the hospital door – I buzzed the buzzer and was let in and was eventually greeted by lots of midwives and a wheelchair!
“We are getting on really well, he’s putting on lots of weight and adapting well to the family. Dennis is my fourth child. I already have two boys – Harley aged 9, Harrison aged 6; and a girl Darcey, aged 4. They are absolutely loving having a new baby brother to enjoy – some great news for lockdown.”
