WOMEN from across Melksham and nearby towns and villages, are being invited to celebrate ‘International Women’s Day’ at a special event next month.
Hosted by the West Wiltshire Multi Faith Forum, the free event on Saturday 7th March will include a belly dancing workshop, an inspirational talk and poem, children’s activities, and a lunch.
Committee member of the West Wiltshire Multi Faith Forum, Farzana Saker says, “The first activity will start with belly dancing at 11am, followed by a talk on equalities for all and challenges faced by women by Sarah Hackett, professor of history at Bath Spa University. There will also be an inspirational poem about women, followed by lunch.
“Children’s activities will include face painting, Henna, arts and crafts – all under supervision.”
