A student at Seend CofE Primary School, Freya Love, took part in the Devizes Eisteddfod last year on Friday 17th November and came away with two awards.
Freya is a keen cellist and entered the Devizes Eisteddfod, a festival of art, music and performance in the category of ‘string repertoire – age 9 and under.’
Performing two solo pieces of her own choice, Freya left the festival victorious. Not only did she win her category, receiving a medal, she also went on to win the overall ‘String Repertoire Cup’ and was selected to perform in the Eisteddfod concert, as a celebration of the performers that most stood out in the competition.
