ATWORTH is celebrating the 100th anniversary of its village hall and recreation ground with a special fete on Saturday 5th July.
The centenary celebration will be held on the recreation ground and will feature a central arena with a dog show, a dancing display, singers and tug of war and welly wanging competitions
There will be a wide variety of stalls, a beer tent, Pimms bar, BBQ and cream teas.
Steve Hornby, chair of the organising committee said, “I hope people bring along blankets and deck chairs and make a day of it as there will be a lot to see and do. Every penny we raise will be used for the running of the hall and recreation ground.”
The event will begin at 11am with entrance costing £2 on the gate and children under 16 free.
