FOLLOWING a very successful live music and family funday held for charity in September at The Pilot, organiser Tracie Winslow has presented the final cheques of the funds she had raised, totalling £4,526 for two charities, Wiltshire Mind and RUHX.
Tracie made the presentation on Friday 11th November. She said, “I would like to thank those who helped leading up to the event and on the day. There are too many people to mention but Lisa Caine, Chloe Brewer and Sarah Cook helped from start to finish, collecting donations, selling tickets and so much more!
“Many local businesses donated either vouchers or goods. I was so grateful for this, as I know how hard it is for everyone at the moment.
“Some amazing local talent performed, giving the day an extra special atmosphere. I really appreciated the time they gave on the day. Max Walters, Chloe Brewer, Richard Onyett, Becky Lawrence, Chris Tweedie, The Sylvertones, The Rider, Darklight Horizon, Sonic Alert, Charmaigne and Band X. I know how much their time is worth, and I am so grateful they performed. Also, thanks for Chris Cambridge, he was there from start to finish doing the sound.
“A huge thanks to Sam, James and wonderful staff at The Pilot, who let me take over the pub for the third year, and gave so much help, and to Tandoori G for supplying the food.
“Thanks to all those who donated goods, bought raffle tickets, won auction prizes, and attended on the day. I hope you all enjoyed it as much as I did. And thanks to the other people who helped on the day – Karen Kerry, Steve Clark, Chris Patterson, Karen Lavender, Christine Southwood, Jade Brewer, Lauren Rodger, Justin Brewer, Louise Deer, Mary Crowley, Mandy Butcher, Ciara and Lily Sparks, Grace Laidlaw, and Grace. Big thanks to Sophie Davis for doing the festival hair!
“Finally, my husband. He’s there next to me through all the fundraisers I hold! Without his support, it couldn’t happen!”
“Mind Wiltshire and RUHX are charities close to my heart. Over the last 10 years, I’ve managed to raise over £20,000 with my incredible team of helpers. Thank you isn’t enough. You’re all amazing!”
