Whitehall Garden Centre held two exclusive skate sessions for families with children on the Autistic Spectrum on Saturday 22nd November.
The ticket sales from the two sessions amounted to £782.54 and were donated to The National Autistic Society. Gemma Smith on behalf of Whitehall said, “The sessions were a fantastic success with a local photographer catching all the action enabling the participating families to have a record of their skating experience.”
Whitehall’s popular Christmas Ice Rink attraction has returned bigger and better than ever, with a stunning new clear roof to keep customers protected from the winter elements. Managing director Peter Self said, “We were more than pleased to support this charity and raised a fantastic amount of money.”
Whitehall Garden Centre worked with local fundraisers Barry and Stacey Fennel to achieve the amount raised.
After the event Stacey commented, “We are grateful to Whitehall for giving us this opportunity and at the same time raising funds for the NAS which is vital to families who need help, support, understanding and information at difficult points in their life. The amount raised was phenomenal.”
