LOWDEN Garden Centre raised £525 for Cancer Research UK from its Antiques Valuation Day last month.
The garden centre in Shaw welcomed antique experts including Kate Bliss, from BBC programmes ‘Bargain Hunt’ and ‘Flog It!’ to give members of the public valuations on items in return for a donation to Cancer Research UK.
Lowden’s Christopher Scott-Moody said, “It was a wonderful day and we are very pleased to have raised the amount we did. We had a very busy morning with over 150 items valued by the experts.
“There were some very interesting items, one of which Kate Bliss has taken away to investigate more about.”
