THE town’s choral society is holding a spring concert on Saturday 20th April at 7.30pm at Melksham United Church on the High Street performing music by Handel and Vivaldi.
The programme will start with the first movement of Vivaldi’s Gloria to get the evening off to a joyful start, followed by Handel’s Ode for St. Cecilia’s Day, the first movement of Vivaldi’s Double Trumpet Concerto, and Handel’s Let Good Arise.
“We are joined by internationally renowned soprano Angela Kazimierezuk; well-known organist and composer David Bednall; trumpeter Mike Daniels; flautist Rosie Badley; and, of course, our musical director, Paul Badley,” ,” says Susan Lamprell on behalf of the society.
“We look forward to seeing you there. Tickets, which cost £10, will be available from the Melksham Tourist Information Centre, on the door or from choir members.”
