Melksham Choral Society is preparing for their Christmas concert which is to be held on Thursday 11th December at the Rachel Fowler Centre at 7.30pm.
Entry to this event is free and you will be invited to make a donation.
The choir will be singing choir and Christmas songs with audience participation.
There will then be a Christmas break until January when the choir will be preparing themselves for their annual spring concert; this one is different in that as part of the programme they will be singing ‘The Jazz Mass’ by Bill Chilcott.
The Choral Society is looking for new members and in particular men, which is the same with nearly all choirs.
Sheila Jackson, on behalf of the choir said, “So gentlemen, why not turn dry January into challenge January and join us.
“If you are a person who sings in the bath or the shower or goes round the house humming that tune which you cannot get out of you mind, or just enjoy music, please come along and introduce yourself, you will receive a warm welcome. There are no auditions – all you need is bum on seat and sing. You will meet some lovely people, have lots of laughs and enjoy yourself.”
