Bath based choir ‘Citysound’ are returning to Shaw Church after their successful spring concert.
“We are pleased to say that Citysound will be returning to Shaw for a special themed Christmas concert on Sunday 30th November, 7.00pm for 7.30pm,” said Dianne Briggs, on behalf of the church. “What a great way to begin celebrating the start of the Christmas season.”
CitySound are accomplished singers with many years’ experience of entertaining, both nationally and internationally and has a wide range of music ranging from Mozart to Bohemian Rhapsody, Opera Choruses to Gospel and African songs.
The choir will again be led by Australian soprano and choral conductor Ruth McKibbin, who has established a reputation for musical and stylistic sensitivity which has been in demand by local choirs and in opera productions. Ruth has collaborated with international musicians such as Baka Beyond and Jamie Cullum.
“The choir will also be accompanied by ‘Enceladus’ – a group of very talented young musicians who last time they came received a well deserved ovation from the audience,” added Dianne. “This will be the third public concert to be held in Shaw church this year. They have proved very popular and we expect this one to be no exception.”
Tickets are only £10 per adult with family concessions and can be reserved by calling Dianne on 708840 or you can buy a ticket on the door, numbers permitting.
Proceeds will go towards Christ Church Shaw’s ‘Spend A Penny Fund’ to install toilet facilities in the church to enable groups to use the church for meetings, concerts and other community uses.
Dianne said, “We thank Citysound for giving up their time to help us with this project.”
