The next films to be shown at the Melksham Monday Movies Club are The Penguin Lessons and Mr Burton.
The Penguin Lessons will be shown on Monday 1st September. A disillusioned Englishman who goes to work in a school in a divided Argentina in 1976 finds his life transformed when he rescues an orphaned penguin from the beach. The film stars Steve Coogan.
On Monday 15th September, Mr Burton will be screened. The film tells the story of the wild schoolboy Rich Jenkins – son of a boozy miner – and an English teacher who recognised his talent, Philip Burton. A moving, untold story of how Rich Jenkins became Richard Burton, the biggest movie star Wales has ever produced. The film is directed by Marc Evans and stars Toby Jones.

Both films will be screened at the Assembly Hall. Doors open at 1.30pm, with the film starting at 2pm.
There will be a break for tea or coffee and a chance to catch up with friends before the event finishes around 4pm. Admission is by donation, with a suggested amount of £4.
