November and December bring a fascinating variety of work to the Art House Cafe Gallery.
Pattie Lockett of the Art House said, “If you are looking for something different as a gift for someone special, you are bound to find it here.
“This month we are showing Marion Dewar’s photographs of flowers, fruit and wildlife – full of colour and detail. There are three exquisite miniatures and three larger frames to choose from.
The little mosaics and bright stained glass decorations made by husband and wife Gordon and Christine Coutts would make suitable gifts for all ages.
If you prefer paintings, we are also showing land and sea-scapes by the excellent young local artist, Daniel Dix.
“December sees the return of the members of St. Mary’s Art Group from Hilperton. The range and variety of styles and subjects always impress and, judging by their sales in previous years, their paintings are very popular with our customers.
“The New Year’s exhibitions will begin in early January with paintings by John Duckett, Jean Perrett, Hayley Jones and David Bain.
“Many thanks to all the artists who have exhibited during 2018 and helped to make the cafe a bright and interesting place to come for a drink or a meal and who have also contributed to the donations made by the Rotary Club of Melksham to local causes.
“If you have not exhibited with us before and would like the opportunity to show your work at the cafe, please come in and ask for a “new artist” form or contact me on 01380 840506 or email pattie.lockett@gmail.com”
