Also, once a month on the first Monday of the month, the Seniors meet at Forest Community Centre to enjoy a wide range of outdoor and indoor games and activities that not only help to improve health, but also plenty of laughs.
Every Thursday, the Melksham Seniors Activity & Social Club meet at the Riverside Club from 10.30am to 12.15pm.
The weekly Thursday morning activities include a great favourite “Smile and Sing along” under the leadership of Sue Stone. Then on alternate weeks they have Clare Webber, well-known locally for her excellent happy classes of balance, mobility, strength and stretch exercises for the more mature. They are always great fun and often pretty hilarious as the oldies swing along to great music.
Jim Law, Melksham Seniors president said, “It is a good two hours of socialising, a cup of tea or coffee, chocolate biscuits, or just ordinary biscuits all sorts, a raffle, plus games if you want to play, we really do have a fun two hours.”
