CONIGRE Mead Nature Reserve has a new-look sign welcoming visitors to the wildlife hot spot.
The new sign encourages walkers to enjoy the reserve and behave appropriately in the wildlife setting.
Wiltshire Wildlife Trust who own the reserve, has purchased the new sign – the trust has bought new signs for the entrances to all its reserves.
Conigre Mead volunteers installed the first of the three new boards for the nature reserve in Melksham, which is located near to the cemetery entrance to the reserve on the A350.
Secretary for Conigre Mead Volunteers, Joanna Harries said, “The other two signs will be installed at our next work mornings on the third Saturday of October and November, so look out for them when you next walk through the reserve. if you are interested in the reserve you can see more on our Facebook page: www.facebook. com/conigremead
“If you would like to help with conservation work at the reserve please contact the volunteers officer at Wiltshire Wildlife Trust by emailing volunteering@wiltshirewildlife.org, or visit www.wiltshire wildlife.org and look for Conigre Mead under the section about volunteering.”
