Bowerhill Residents Action Group (BRAG) is on the lookout for new members.
The local group of volunteers are well known in the community for their award-winning picnic area near the Kennet & Avon Canal, which they look after and maintain.
But the group also contribute to local consultations, liaise with developers and the parish council, give input into public art for the area, plant trees, and provide benches.
Melksham Without Parish Council will be hosting an online meeting on Wednesday 16th December at 7pm, for local Bowerhill residents to find out more about the group and how they could help.
A spokesperson on behalf of BRAG said, “The chair, secretary and treasurer have been undertaking their volunteer roles for a very long time, for many years, and feel that it’s time for a rest and for some new faces to come forward and join the committee in those roles.
“The parish council are holding a virtual meeting by Zoom, for anyone who is interested in finding out more about the work of BRAG, joining as a member and even putting yourself forward to be a committee member and perhaps even filling one of the vacant posts.
“You can join by Zoom on Wednesday 16th December at 7pm, using the following link, instructions on how to use Zoom are on the parish council website www.melkshamwithout.co.uk and if you don’t have access to a screen and you want to dial in with a phone, then please give us a ring and we can let residents know how to do that, on 01225 705700.
