The local Credit Union is to re-open in Melksham on the new campus.
“We are happy to announce that after our long time away, we will be opening a face-to-face collection point at the new Melksham Campus every Friday starting this Friday, 5th August, from 10am to 12pm,” says a spokesperson for the The Wiltshire and Swindon Credit Union (WASC)
“We have been part of the Melksham community since opening in August 2003 and, over the years, the service has gone from strength to strength. We are now part of a wider community covering Swindon and Wiltshire with members totalling over 2,500.”
What is a credit Union?
“It is a not-for-profit community-based organisation run by volunteers with the backing of the Financial Conduct Authority who insures your money up to the value of £85,000. We encourage our members to save little and often, which will enable them to have access to a loan.
