WILTSHIRE Air Ambulance will find out next week if it will be granted permission to build its new headquarters near Melksham.
The plans, submitted in November last year, show the charity’s proposal to build new offices, a hangar and a helipad on land near Commerce Way on the A350.
The move would bring the charity’s two departments together; currently the offices are in Calne and the helicopter is based in Devizes.
Local councils have been in favour of the charity’s move, with support coming from councils in Broughton Gifford, Hilperton, Melksham Without and Semington. Melksham Town Council and Seend Parish Council had no objections to the plan.
There were no public comments registered by Wiltshire Council during the consultation.
If permission is granted, the charity could begin work this year to be ready to move into the headquarters in 2017.

Wiltshire Council is expected to decide on Wednesday 17th February.
