YOUTH homelessness charity Step by Step is expanding its services in Wiltshire and is looking for people with a spare room and the desire to help a young person in need.
Step by Step helps young people facing hard times and homelessness. It offers a number of services for vulnerable young people in the local community, including Supported Lodgings. These are rooms in private houses where a young person is supported by a Host.
A staggering 1 in 100 young people are now expected to experience homelessness.
Step by Step is leading the way in preventing youth homelessness and requires new Hosts to support the expansion of its services. Hosts are ordinary people, from all walks of life, who can offer a bedroom, guidance and compassion to a young person facing difficult circumstances.
Hosts are an integral part of Step by Step’s mission to end youth homelessness. In turn, Supported Lodging’s Hosts will receive full training, support and payment for each young person they look after.
