A TOTAL of 64 Easter eggs have been donated to the local Spurgeons Children’s Centre and will be distributed to families across Wiltshire.
Milestone Infrastructure and Wiltshire Council raised funds to buy the eggs for the children’s centre, which is based on Spa Road.
“We would like to thank the employees of Milestone for their generous donation of Easter eggs,” says community engagement and volunteer coordinator at Spurgeon’s Children’s Centre, Carl Houghton. “The community support Milestone has provided means the families and children we support, who may have otherwise not received Easter eggs, will now be able to. We look forward to working with Milestone more in the future.”
A spokesperson for Milestone Infrastructure, which does highway maintenance said, “We’re proud to be giving Spurgeons Children’s Centre the support needed to continue delivering for the community. At Milestone, we recognise the fantastic work this charity does for children and families, and we’re pleased to be able to help them where possible.”
Social value and communications advisor, Tom Price, said, “It is amazing to be able to support a charity with such a strong relationship with the people of Wiltshire; their work is vital and ensures no child is left behind. To be able to support them is an honour and I look forward to building a strong relationship with them going forward.”
