Melksham United Church are pleased to announce an evening of music with The Kennet Accordion Orchestra on Saturday 13th September.
Based within the valley of the River Kennet, the orchestra is supported by an enthusiastic group of accordionists from the surrounding towns of Marlborough, Hungerford, Newbury and Swindon.
All members share a common passion for playing the accordion. As a collective, the orchestra perform concerts, support charitable organisations and participate in music festivals throughout the local region and beyond.
Under the baton of musical director, Nigel Pasby, the orchestra rehearse an extensive musical repertoire that includes pieces from many musical genres. Nigel cites Mozart and Mercury (Freddie) as two of his major musical influences and this diversity is reflected in the orchestra’s performances.
Natalie Willis on behalf of Melksham United Church said, “Come and join us for this spectacular musical event on Saturday 13th September, 7.30pm. Tickets are £8 and £5 for concessions. Proceeds will go towards the new Mother and Toddler Group at Melksham United Church. We look forward to seeing you there!”
