MELKSHAM Assembly Hall hosts some great events as well as showing regular films during October.
This weekend starts with a chance to see one of the only performing rock ‘n’ roll pioneers in the world today live on stage, Marty Wilde on Friday 9th October. The fantastic evening of music from Marty and his band starts at 7.30pm and tickets cost £21.
Then on Saturday the 10th the big band duo, the Decibelles, and the Warminster Military Wives Choir will perform in a themed concert to raise funds for Dorothy House Hospice Care entitled, ‘The Home Front’. Tickets cost £14 and the music starts at 7.30pm.
Melksham movies will be showing Pixels on Saturday 17th at 10.30am. When aliens misinterpret video feeds of classic arcade games as a declaration of war, they attack the earth in the form of the video games. Adult tickets costs £4 and under 15s cost £3.
“On October 17th, Female of the Species perform for mental health charity, Wiltshire Mind. The band is made up of five girls who front local bands that have all come together to put on a special charity gig. All money raised will be donated to Wiltshire Mind. Tickets cost £7.50 and doors open at 7.30pm.
Bob Drury presents, The Neil Diamond Story, on Thursday 29th October. In his ‘one-man’ theatre show, singer and guitarist Bob Drury celebrates the life and music of Neil Diamond. Tickets cost £14 and doors open at 7.30pm.
Romantic drama, 45 Years will be shown on Friday 30th October at 7.30pm. In the week leading up to their 45th anniversary, a couple receive an unexpected letter which contains potentially life changing news. Tickets cost £6 or two time credits.
On Saturday October 31st, action adventure Fantastic Four is showing. Four young outsiders teleport to an alternate and dangerous universe which alters their physical form in shocking ways. The four must learn how to harness their new abilities and work together to save the earth from a former friend turned enemy. Adults £4 under 15s £3 or two time credits.
