MELKSHAM Seniors’ 55+ Forum is preparing for a busy festive season as December approaches, and tickets are now on sale for the club’s annual Christmas party.
The club will host an afternoon of festive events at Forest Community Centre from 1.30pm on Monday 7th December, then a Christmas party at the Assembly Hall from 1.30pm on Monday 21st December.
Club chair Brian Warwick said, “We are looking forward to the festive afternoon events at Forest Community Centre and our renowned Christmas Party.
“Tickets for the party are on sale now at Melksham Tourist Information Centre (opposite the Post Office). They will be sold on a first-come basis of one ticket per person at a heavily subsidised price of £5 each.
“If you want to enjoy a great afternoon and the start of Christmas week then make sure you buy your ticket as soon as possible.”
The Seniors also held their regular film showing at Melksham Assembly Hall last week.
Brian said, “There was an incredible amount of tears of laughter, joy and some sorrow, and hardly a dry eye in the hall at our film show last Monday.
“Over 60 Melksham Seniors got together to watch The Bucket List starring Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman. Once again we all enjoyed a lovely afternoon at the pictures.”
