Bowerhill Primary School received a visit from St James’ Place financial advisor, Tom Porter to teach Year 6 pupils all about finance.
Tom works with business owners to help them financially plan for the longevity of their business. He did numerous talks and workshops with the Year 6 pupils over the course of the two days.
The school have decided to put their new ‘financial advisors’ to the test by giving pupils £500 to purchase something for the school. The children have to use all of their newly learnt financial knowledge to make a decision on what the school should invest this money in.
St James’ Place is an investment management company based in Gloucestershire. They have over 20 offices around the United Kingdom and are a combined advisor, fund manager and life insurance business.
