As we say goodbye to the old year and welcome the new, thoughts turn to what we can achieve to improve our lives.
Members of Melksham Speakers Club will also be reflecting on their achievements last year and looking forward to the challenges of 2016.
One member had difficulty in doing a presentation without saying um err and rr; this no longer happens and that member can now do Powerpoint presentations without thinking about them.
Another member who has Aspergers said that they would not be able to speak without notes, now they never use notes and a third member was invited to read the lesson at church, who, before being a member of speakers, would never have entertained the idea, but now does not hesitate to accept the invitations.
Confidence is at the root of these achievements, we can all think and say “we cannot” when with a little confidence we can. Joining Melksham Speakers will give you that confidence to achieve, please join us and look forward to a bright 2016.
