FREE sports afternoons for five to 11 year-olds will be coming to Seend and Shaw this month to keep the young ones active over the summer holidays.
The ‘Fun in the Sun’ sports roadshow is bringing sports coaching to rural areas around the county with coaches from Bath Rugby and Wiltshire Cricket.
On Friday 12th and Friday 19th August the activities will be held at Seend Lye Field from 12.30pm to 2pm, and then at Shaw Village Hall from 2.30pm to 4pm.
Sports will change from session to session but will include tag rugby, football, cricket, dodgeball, tennis, rounders, athletics and team activities.
Wiltshire Council, which organises the events says, “Fun in the Sun is a fun activity programme aimed at providing regular sports sessions for young people in rural locations across the county.
“There will be high quality coaching from Bath Rugby and Wiltshire Cricket, and it’s a great opportunity for children to meet new friends, have fun and stay active.”
