THE Rainbow Day Centre at the Riverside Club is inviting elderly people living in Melksham and district to come along for social activities, fun and games.
The Rainbow Day Centre is open on Mondays and Fridays from 9.30am until 2.30pm. Organiser for the centre, Lisa Reece said, “We start the day with tea and biscuits then a spot of bingo and a raffle. We are also lucky to have our own kitchen and we have a lovely cook who cooks a fresh two-course meal.
“After lunch we have a nice cup of tea then we play games like indoor kurling table skittles, or darts.
“We have an average of four trips throughout the year. This year we have been to Allington Farm in Chippenham for afternoon tea and to Bristol for a boat trip under the gorge with a picnic lunch.
“We are a friendly, happy bunch with people of all ages and abilities. So if you would like to get out of the house and meet new people, come along.
“We also have the use of Melksham community bus if you are stuck for transport. We are having a coffee morning on Friday 6th October from 10am to 12pm so why not come along and meet us all.
“If you are a carer you might also wish to come and see what we might be able to offer you.
“If you are interested in finding out more about us you can call me on 07500 046492 or email: lisa
